Wimbledon’s official connectivity partner Vodafone has launched a new fan activation called “5G+ Serve” during the 2026 tournament.
The experience uses live match data captured from broadcast feeds and transmits it via Vodafone’s 5G Standalone network to a robotic arm.
The robot replicates the speed and power of professional tennis serves in real time, allowing fans to attempt returning serves from players such as Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka, and Miomir Kecmanović.
Hosted at Wimbledon Park, the activation combines sport, technology, and fan engagement while showcasing the capabilities of 5G in a live sporting environment.
