PSG signs historic premium sponsorship deal with Iraqi telecom giant Asiacell

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has announced a landmark multi-year sponsorship agreement with Asiacell, Iraq’s leading telecommunications operator and a subsidiary of the Ooredoo Group. The deal was officially signed during a ceremony at the Parc des Princes in Paris, marking what is described as the largest-ever partnership between an Iraqi company and a global sports club.

Under the agreement, Asiacell becomes a premium partner of PSG, with a focus on expanding brand visibility in the Iraqi market. The collaboration aims to strengthen both organizations’ presence, particularly in the Middle East, through joint marketing and commercial initiatives.

Club executives and senior representatives from Asiacell and Ooredoo attended the signing ceremony, including PSG’s Chief Revenue Officer Richard Heaselgrave. The partnership reflects PSG’s continued strategy of expanding its commercial footprint in emerging football markets.

The timing of the deal is also significant, coming shortly after Iraq’s national team secured qualification for the FIFA World Cup, adding further visibility and engagement potential for the partnership within the region.

The agreement reinforces PSG’s growing global sponsorship network and highlights the increasing role of Middle Eastern markets in European football’s commercial landscape.
