Real Madrid’s iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium will host a unique sporting experience this September as Upper Deck Golf brings its interactive stadium golf event to Spain for the first time.
From September 24-27, the Bernabéu will be transformed into a giant golf venue, with tee boxes positioned high in the stands and custom-designed target greens placed across the pitch below.
Upper Deck Golf Expands into Spain
Upper Deck Golf managing partners Marc Bender and Adam Wachter described Spain as the next step in the company’s global expansion strategy.
“The energy of Spanish sports fans is unmatched, making this the perfect backdrop for our first event in the country,” the company said in a statement.
The organizers added that the historic Bernabéu provides an ideal setting for a one-of-a-kind interactive experience that allows fans to access areas of the stadium in a completely different way.
Tee Times and VIP Experiences
Participants will be able to book tee times between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. across all four days of the event.
VIP packages will also be available, offering additional benefits including:
- Access to driving, chipping, and putting challenges
- Complimentary food and beverages
- Enhanced event experiences inside the stadium
Everton’s New Stadium Also on the Schedule
The experience is also heading to Hill Dickinson Stadium, the new home of Everton, from July 16-19.
The event will coincide with The Open Championship, with live coverage of the tournament being shown throughout the venue.
The Liverpool event will mark the first time Upper Deck Golf has staged an experience at a stadium outside North America.
Growing Trend in Stadium Entertainment
Upper Deck Golf has already hosted events at several iconic U.S. venues, including Fenway Park, Dodger Stadium, and Yankee Stadium.
The Bernabéu event highlights a growing trend among sports venues to create year-round entertainment experiences and unlock new revenue streams beyond matchdays.
