Como 1907 has deepened its digital ambitions by partnering with EA Sports FC, positioning gaming as a central pillar of its evolving fan engagement strategy.
The agreement, brokered through European Football Clubs, will integrate the Italian club into the game’s global ecosystem, creating new digital touchpoints and content opportunities beyond traditional matchday experiences.
At the core of the strategy is Como’s recently launched Como Gaming Club, a platform designed to build a community around gaming, interactive content, and fan participation. The initiative reflects a broader shift across football, where clubs are increasingly using gaming to reach younger, digitally native audiences.
Chief revenue officer Ryan Shelton said the move is about meeting fans where they already spend time, while EA SPORTS FC’s partnerships lead James Taylor highlighted gaming’s growing role as a primary engagement channel in modern football culture.
The deal underscores how clubs outside Europe’s elite are leveraging digital ecosystems and gaming platforms to punch above their weight commercially, turning global gaming audiences into scalable fan bases.
