PUMA has officially revealed the new STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE match ball, which will be used in LALIGA during the 2026/27 season. The company describes it as the most technologically advanced football it has ever developed for elite competitions.
Designed to match the increasing speed and intensity of modern football, the new ball features PUMA’s proprietary NITROFOAM™ technology — a nitrogen-infused foam core engineered to generate greater energy return on impact. According to the brand, this allows passes, touches, and shots to travel faster and feel more responsive off the player’s foot.
The STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE is already being used as the official match ball in both the Premier League and Serie A, meaning it will now sit at the center of three of the world’s biggest domestic football competitions.
From an engineering perspective, the ball uses a precise 4+4 panel construction designed to optimize airflow and reduce drag, improving flight accuracy and consistency. Its textured outer surface is also intended to help the ball maintain speed and stability through the air.
Visually, the design combines performance with a bold aesthetic. Built on a white base, the ball features graphic details in fuchsia, turquoise, and purple, contrasted by darker black elements that create depth and make the ball instantly recognizable during play.
The new PUMA STELLAR NITRO™ ULTIMATE officially goes on sale globally from May 26 through PUMA’s official channels and selected retailers.
