wTVision is providing a comprehensive live graphics solution for the Lithuanian Basketball League, supporting broadcasts throughout the season through a unified workflow built with BasketballCG and the R³ Engine.
Working alongside Dimedia, the league’s official production partner, wTVision has implemented an integrated graphics ecosystem combining 2D and 3D on-air elements. The system is designed to meet the demands of one of Europe’s strongest domestic basketball competitions, ensuring real-time performance and visual consistency across regular-season and cup games.
At the core of the setup is BasketballCG, which manages the 2D graphics layer and integrates directly with FIBA LiveStats. The system also includes locally adapted scoreboard protocols and an OCR backup layer to maintain reliability during live broadcasts. In parallel, the R³ Engine, combined with Stype tracking technology, enables 3D graphics capabilities, adding depth, motion, and enhanced visual storytelling to the production.
The solution is not a temporary deployment but a long-term production framework. wTVision handled implementation, system deployment, and operator training, allowing Dimedia to independently manage the workflow across the full season.
The graphics package covers a wide range of broadcast elements, including score clocks, lineups, player statistics, comparison graphics, standings, 3D visual overlays, sponsorship integrations, and review tools. These components contribute to a more dynamic and informative viewing experience, particularly in a fast-paced sport like basketball where real-time data and visual clarity are essential.
By combining real-time data integration, localized production requirements, and a hybrid 2D/3D graphics architecture, the project delivers a scalable and reliable broadcast environment that enhances both operational efficiency and on-air presentation.
