Humain, the Saudi Arabian AI startup backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), has officially entered the sports tech arena. The company announced the launch of Humain Sport following its strategic acquisition of London-based startup ai.io.
The new division aims to bridge the gap between human athletic potential and artificial intelligence. By integrating ai.io’s established technology and industry relationships, Humain Sport will focus on four key pillars:
- Performance Analysis: Advanced data for elite and grassroots athletes.
- Intelligent Facilities: Smart infrastructure for sports venues.
- Fan Engagement: Personalized digital experiences.
- Global Participation: Tools to boost sports activity worldwide.
Humain CEO Tareq Amin stated that the investment reflects a mission to “unite people and empower athletes” across the global ecosystem. This move underscores Saudi Arabia’s broader vision to dominate not just sports team ownership, but the technological infrastructure that powers the modern sports industry.
