Formula 1 has renewed its broadcast partnership with BeIN Sports across the Asia-Pacific region through the 2030 season, reinforcing the championship’s long-term international media growth strategy.
The multi-year extension ensures BeIN Asia Pacific will continue airing every Formula 1 race live across 10 territories: Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Timor-Leste.
All races will be available on BeIN Sports’ primary linear channels as well as via the BeIN Sports Connect streaming platform.
Full Development Pyramid Included in the Deal
Beyond the main Formula 1 championship, the agreement also includes:
- Formula 2
- Formula 3
- F1 Academy
- Porsche Super Cup
These support series play a critical role in developing future F1 drivers and expanding the sport’s global talent pipeline — a key strategic element as Formula 1 continues building worldwide commercial value.
Rising Asian Demand Mirrors US Growth
The renewal reflects accelerating audience momentum across Asia. BeIN Sports Asia Pacific managing director Mike Kerr noted consistent double-digit year-over-year Formula 1 audience growth over the past three seasons.
For American sports executives and investors, this aligns with Formula 1’s rapid expansion in the United States, where race attendance, sponsorship revenue, and media rights valuations have surged significantly in recent years.
Strategic Markets: Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia
Singapore remains a flagship event on the F1 calendar with its globally recognized night street race. Meanwhile, Thailand draws particular attention due to Williams driver Alexander Albon, who competes under a Thai racing license and drives strong regional engagement.
Indonesia is also considered a high-potential motorsports growth market within Southeast Asia.
Global Media Portfolio Continues to Expand
BeIN Sports now broadcasts Formula 1 in 35 markets worldwide. In 2024, the network secured a separate 10-year agreement covering 25 territories across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey through the 2033 campaign.
The 2026 Formula 1 season begins March 7–8 in Melbourne and runs 24 rounds through the finale in Abu Dhabi in December. The Singapore Grand Prix is scheduled for October 10–11.
As Formula 1 continues strengthening long-term international broadcast partnerships, the championship further cements its position as one of the fastest-growing premium sports properties in the global marketplace.
