Paramount Plus Secures Exclusive US Rights for Concacaf Women’s Football

CBS Sports secures exclusive US English language rights for over 250 Concacaf women’s football matches on Paramount Plus through the 2029-30 season

CBS Sports has finalized a landmark agreement to become the exclusive English-language home for all Concacaf women’s football competitions in the United States. The deal, which runs through the 2029–30 season, guarantees more than 250 matches to be streamed live on Paramount+, solidifying the platform’s position as a premier destination for women’s sports.

The partnership covers four major competitions and comes at a time when the Concacaf region is undergoing a massive restructuring of its women’s football ecosystem to provide more competitive fixtures for member associations.

1. The Roadmap to the 2027 World Cup and 2028 Olympics

Coverage officially kicks off on February 27, 2026, with the Concacaf W Championship Qualifiers. This tournament serves as the primary qualifying pathway for two of the biggest stages in sports:

  • FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027: Determining which regional teams will head to the global stage.
  • 2028 Summer Olympics: Setting the field for the tournament in Los Angeles. The eight-team championship is scheduled for November and December 2026, where regional giants the United States and Canada will join the qualifying group winners.

2. Concacaf W Champions Cup and Global Qualification

The deal also includes the Concacaf W Champions Cup, an annual elite club tournament. This competition is crucial as it determines qualification for:

  • FIFA Women’s Club World Cup 2028: The inaugural edition of the global club tournament.
  • FIFA Women’s Champions Cup (2027 and 2029): Providing a platform for North and Central American clubs to compete against the world’s best.

3. Future Competitions: Nations League and Gold Cup

Looking toward the late 2020s, Paramount+ will be the home for two newly structured flagship events:

  • Concacaf W Nations League (2028): A new format designed to replace traditional friendlies with meaningful, competitive group-stage football.
  • Concacaf W Gold Cup (2029): The second edition of the confederation’s premier national team tournament.
