Building on the success of their digital-first strategy, Burnley FC has expanded its partnership with X to launch an exclusive eight-part documentary series titled Limitless. Debuting on February 20, 2026, the series provides a “fly-on-the-wall” look at Burnley FC Women as they chase promotion from the Women’s National League.
The series is produced by VSP Studios and Ad Hoc Films, the creative teams behind the club’s existing men’s documentary, Keeping The Faith.
A Social-First Narrative
Unlike traditional broadcast documentaries, Limitless is designed specifically for the social media age, prioritizing real-time engagement and mobile-first consumption:
- Weekly Access: New episodes drop every Friday on X through the end of the 2025/26 season.
- Short-Form Strategy: Alongside the main episodes, 30 “extra” short-form clips will be released to maintain consistent in-feed engagement.
- Real-Time Storytelling: The series follows the players and staff in real-time, capturing the raw highs and lows of a promotion battle as they happen.
Commercial Innovation: The “Sure” Partnership
The project is a significant commercial milestone for the club, backed by Sure For Women (Unilever). The partnership includes:
- Branded Content: Integrated product placement throughout the episodes.
- Omnichannel Presence: Branding extends to the team’s matchday kits and stadium inventory at Turf Moor.
- Direct Metrics: By hosting the content on X, the club provides sponsors with immediate data on views, shares, and audience sentiment.
“Limitless is about telling the full story of Burnley FC Women – not just what happens on the pitch, but the ambition, resilience and unity that drive this group every day.” — Lola Ogunbote, Head of Women’s Football at Burnley FC.
